Waste Management Options

While the City of Golden is using Republic Services for Trash, Recycling & Composting, VMR HOA uses Waste Management for Trash & Recycling. Composting is offered through the City of Golden (scroll down to “composting”).

TRASH & RECYCLING:

Our HOA uses Waste Management as a trash & recycling company.

For information about different sizes containers please go to their website. Our standard trash bin is 96-gallons. However, residents opting for a 64-gallon or a 32-gallon trash container will get discounts:

96 gallon is billed at $45 a quarter
64 gallon is billed at $30 a quarter
32 gallon is billed at $15 a quarter

FAQ:

  • I’m new to the HOA and want to start trash & recycling services. What do I need to do?
    To start new trash service please set it up through Keystone Denver by calling 303-369-0800, Ext. 1006 or emailing Kellie McReynolds.
  • What is the HOA policy regarding putting out trash receptacles and returning trash receptacles after collection?
    Homeowners/Residents at Village at Mountain Ridge are reminded that they are not to put out their trash receptacles before 5:00 p.m. the night before collection (Wednesday) and that the receptacles are to be returned to an out of sight location by the end of collection day (Thursday).

VMR follows the gold weeks for recycling.

 

COMPOSTING:

Composting is now available to all Mountain Ridge Homeowners through the City of Golden by provider Republic Services.

  • A helpful list of how to participate in the organics service, including a list of acceptable materials is attached and also available on the city website at www.cityofgolden.net/trash.
  • There is no cost for receiving composting bins.
  • The rate is $11.50/month and will be included in your water bill from the City.  No bill will come to you from Republic.
  • If at any time, you wish to discontinue the organics service, please call 303-277-TRASH (8727).
